Blue Jackets send down Picard, sign Holden
The Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday assigned left wing Alexandre Picard to their American Hockey League affiliate in Syracuse.
The club also announced the signing of defenseman Nick Holden from Chilliwack of the Western Hockey League.
Picard was scoreless with two penalty minutes in three games after being added to the roster on emergency recall March 20. He has seven goals and 11 assists in 47 games with Syracuse this season after missing the first 18 games with a knee injury.
Holden, 20, had 22 goals and 38 assists in 70 games with Chilliwack this season. Read more
